One ISL Launch

Excited to have  launched One ISL – Better Together.  One ISL represents our commitment to checking, challenging and changing the way we do things, celebrating difference and creating a culture of inclusivity in everything we do. That means attracting people from many different backgrounds and cultures, making people feel welcome; ensuring that we are checking ourselves against unconscious bias to be a truly inclusive organisation that enables everyone to be their best, planning and taking decisions together.

We launched One ISL at a full day event held at Mottram Hall with representatives from different locations and roles. The main themes of the day were around inclusion, diversity, communication, ISL direction and staff and client involvement. We agreed priorities and actions to take forward, including wider team representation on our board welcoming first support workers to the July board,  then working towards client representation later in the year. We agreed to establish a mentoring programme and create secondment opportunities amongst other initiatives. It was great to have so much energy and enthusiasm in the room and looking forward to August when we celebrate achievements of individuals and teams at ISL awards, then in September we hold our first team Annual Plan creation day to decide our strategic plan for 2022/23 as One ISL
