ISL have been nominated as a finalist at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2023

We are excited to announce that ISL have been nominated as a finalist at the Stars of Social Care Awards 2023.

Our entry was for the New to Care Award. This nomination was for ISL’s Coach Sean who as a long serving member of the Royal Air Force has brought his skills and experience to make a real difference in social care. Targeting in particular clients of ISL with mental health needs and learning disabilities, Sean experienced combat in Iraq and Afghanistan and witnessed direct links to physical and mental wellbeing and used this knowledge base to create and implement innovative wellbeing programmes across ISL including bespoke health and fitness advice for clients and employees via different formats e.g. text, video, email, blogs and face to face. In addition, Coach Sean’s own You Tube channel has helped extend the reach and impact of these initiatives beyond ISL by creating resources to support others health and wellbeing, tailored to people with varied needs.

Winners will be selected by an expert panel of judges at an event on Saturday 17th June at Regents Park’s Marriot Hotel, hosted by ITV’s This Morning presenter Josie Gibson. Looking forward to the event and good luck all shortlisted finalists.
