Leeds Gildersome, Equine Pathways UK Fundraiser Event
In an inspiring display of unity, the ISL Leeds Gildersome Supported Living Service recently organised a charity fundraiser that exceeded all expectations, leaving a lasting impact on both the community and a noble cause. The event, held at Equine Pathways Centre in Leeds, witnessed an incredible outpouring of support from the ISL team, clients, local residents, Equine Pathways volunteers, local police, and Member of Parliament, Andrea Jenkyns.
Along with the ponies and horses the centrepiece of the event was a challenging 50-mile cycling challenge, a feat that, without a doubt, was conquered with determination and passion. Participants, fueled by a shared purpose, pedaled their way to success, demonstrating the power of teamwork and community spirit.
But the cycling challenge was just the beginning. The event also featured a raffle and a delectable cake sale, adding a delightful touch to the day. Local businesses and generous individuals contributed to the raffle prizes, making the event even more exciting.
The true essence of this event lay in its purpose – supporting Equine Pathways, a commendable organisation in Leeds. The funds raised, totaling over £500, will go a long way in assisting Equine Pathways in their mission to make a difference in the lives of both people and animals. The heartfelt generosity displayed by everyone involved highlights the community’s commitment to creating a positive impact and nurturing a spirit of compassion and kindness.
Among the attendees were the dedicated ISL team and clients, who, alongside the local community, embraced the opportunity to contribute to a cause greater than themselves. Equine Pathways volunteers, local police officers, and the Member of Parliament, Andrea Jenkyns, added to the event’s significance by lending their support, further reinforcing the sense of unity and shared responsibility within the community.
The success of this charity fundraiser serves as a testament to the compassion and generosity present within the ISL Leeds Gildersome Supported Living Service community and its neighbours. Together, they have proven that every contribution, no matter how big or small, can create a ripple effect of positive change, leaving a lasting impact on those in need.
